STONE LOVE THE VOICE OF A GENERATION

Copenhagen will be little Jamaica for one night, rocking to hot blazing reggae vibes of the number one reggae sound system from Jamaica ‘Stone Love’.

Sound systems have been entertaining the Jamaican Public from the start of reggae music as early as Studio one with the late Sir Coxone Dodd and Duke Reid to name a few. This is what started Hip hop music and where most reggae artists build their career.

It well be the first time that a sound system from Jamaica will be playing in Copenhagen giving the Danish public the real authentic vibes making you jump and dance like never before also on this very special night we will have ‘Sky Juice celebrating their 15 years anniversary, Universal, Peoples Choice the Danish champion winners, Fire House crew, and Dub City’ sound systems adding more entertainment to this exciting event. On the 1st of September at Vega Enhavevej 40, doors open 21:00.

Stone Love sound system made their entry into the dancehall business in 1972 and is the sound systems with the most potent and magnetic force to pull crowds and ‘cork’ any dancehall, with their ever fresh and entertaining selectors playing foundation revivers, roots and up to date dancehall tunes.

There are over 200 sound systems in Jamaica to date, but when the question is asked as to which is the champion and reigning king of them all, without hesitation the response is ‘Stone Love’.

Stone Love is an international household name and it is the most sought after sound system today, for the past 11 years it has bookings every night playing in different parts of the world. Record producers, singers and Djs will do anything to hear tunes being played on this sound system.

Winston ‘WeePow” Powell is the brainchild of this sound system and during his childhood years wanted more than anything else in the world to be the owner of his very own sound system.

A fully operational recording studio is Wee-Pow’s newest achievements, the studio provides Stone Love a place for recording material for their label and for the dub-plates for the sound system.

The sound system has to its credit numerous awards with the greatest accomplishment of still being the indisputable Number One Sound consistently internationally and locally.

To experience Stone Love and their powerful blend of dancehall, foundation and roots music plus the entertaining mic man in the dance will be an everlasting positive memory in the minds of many.

It will be tougher than tuff, hotter than hot and full of that vibes we never get the chance to feel in Copenhagen. 100% niceness.
