Perfect Giddimani Perfect (born Greg Rose, Bamboo, and St Ann, Jamaica) cut his first tune as Little Ninja, before settling on his current stage name due to his perfectionism as a recording artist.
In the late 90s he often had to go to Kingston to make his name and record. The first song that really began making his name was ‘Lock Me Up’ in 2004 for Courntey MacIntosh from Irie FM but he was really revealed with ‘Handcart Bwoy’ in 2005. He released his first album Giddimani next year including many of his first singles. After releasing many of his 7″.
In early 2008 saw the release of Perfect’s 2nd album, Born Dead With Life on Irievibrations Records. A concept album concerned with the history of slavery, the album has gotten extraordinary reviews and reveals a deeply personal side of the artist. A collection of singles made up Perfect’s 2009 album, Karma. With lots of popular tunes on familiar riddims, Karma was the beginning of a shift towards the alt/pop world..
2010 saw the release of the multi-genre album French Connection, produced by Sherkhan for Tiger Records/Chalice Palace Music, while 2011 brought us back for the First Time on the Lustre Kings label. 2012 sees Perfect Giddimani poised to embark on a new level in his career with the release of Journey of 1000 Miles on Dynasty Records.
A Rastafarian, Perfect’s lyrics are deep and straightforward yet unforgettably melodious, leaving you to listen over and over. Simply put, he keeps his lyrics real and unapologetically uses music as his medium for education and self-awareness.
